18 Owls Press makes broadsides and chapbooks in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

It was conceived through a love of print/print-art and special print editions. Also small presses in Argentina, New York, Providence and everywhere, readings, house-readings, ink-mixing, friendship, long talks in cars, long poems and also small ones that fit on a page, my original (now lost) copy of The Reproduction of Profiles, and eighteen owls recently seen in the wilds of upstate New York.

We are a rotating group of authors, designers, printers, and friends.

Each broadside is made in limited edition and is printed on the letterpress using handset metal type or a custom-made polymer plate.

The idea is that in this press' life there will be 18 broadsides.
